Teaching at Classical Charter Schools
Teaching is challenging work, so you’ll have constant support to make your classroom successful. Your scholars’ success as well as your personal success will be a school-wide effort:
- High impact professional development
You’ll start the school year with two weeks of intensive training with your colleagues to acclimate you to CCS. Then, throughout the year you’ll receive weekly, individualized feedback and coaching.
- A supportive team
Our schools are structured as groups of small teams that allow you to collaborate, problem-solve and collectively grow with your colleagues. We’ll introduce you to a team of passionate, hardworking, smart people, who will work alongside you for the benefit of your scholars.
- A comprehensive curriculum
We provide detailed, tried-and-true lesson plans so you can enter the classroom confident you’re teaching the required material, in a way that’s been proven to work. As a result, you’ll have more time to focus on your practice.
- A safe, structured environment for learning
Our highly structured environment is geared toward maximizing efficacy in learning and growth. With tight transitions, methodical classroom procedures, and a strict behavior code, scholars and teachers are freed of the distractions that take away from learning time. Our Deans of Students, School Psychologist, and Instructional Coaches help you maintain a classroom environment where effective teaching can flourish.
- Time to focus on instruction
We employ an operations team to help you focus on teaching, rather than the small tasks that can clutter a day. From making your copies to trouble-shooting your technical issues, your support staff will make sure your time is spent on your scholars.
We expect a lot of our teachers, from long hours to fierce dedication to your scholars. But at the same time, you can expect a lot of CCS. We do everything we can to create a culture of optimism and growth, while staying grounded in high standards and tangible results. Here, you can make an impact in the lives of your students and see it every day.
